Tools

Agile FACT recommends where possible the adoption of Open Source tools with an active community.

nFACT - agile FACT Reports for .Net

nFact is an Open Source tool for .Net. It extends the popular SpecFlow tool for writing BDD tests adding the following features:

  • Multimedia playback of Stories using video, slides or screenshots.
  • Ability to configure an acceptance test to target any test environment - UAT, System Test, Staging, Production etc.
  • A REST API for integration with any Continuous Delivery pipeline.
  • Ability to embed Story links from any FACT Report to a Story repository such as JIRA, Confluence or Rally.
  • No training required, as standard unit test runners NUnit/MSTest are used for writing acceptance tests within Visual Studio

nFact can be downloaded from GitHub.
